It's cold and dark.
Snow sprinkles from the heavens.
Taking this risk is purely for fun.
It's hard work sure.
Enjoyment is better than the pay.
It's not about reward, it's about striving to be the best.
I would go broke and become homeless just to see your eyes light up shaking with laughter again.
Admitting that is scary.
Willing to give it all up for just a few blissful minutes.
Advice that comes my direction is to move on.
I carry on perpetually frozen with you in time.
Your absence made everything colder, darker.
Catching glimpses of you in every face I greet is, to say the least bittersweet.
Grin and bear it, swatting offending moisture away.
Now here, somewhere between points A and B.
Falling snow let's me vent it all.
Chills seep into my bones pushing and forcing my dwelling sorrow further down.
'Til I'm left only with the brutal chill of winter.
Should be moving on.
